“I felt like a woman again”
This year I promised myself that I would challenge my old limiting beliefs and that I would begin to do things that scared me but also have the courage to try new things that would bring me joy.
I was pleasantly surprised that in the year I chose to say yes to more of these things that I had the opportunity to have Brooke take my pictures.
I’m not a model, I have two kids and besides I’m 38!! I last tried this when I was 20! But, I showed up anyway, and how absolutely honoured I am to have worked with Brooke. My self confidence had taken a beating over the years, but I found myself again in this experience. I felt like a woman again. I felt strong and confident, and most especially, understood and celebrated, when I got the pictures I kept thinking “that cant’t be me”.
I am overcome with awe everytime I look at these pictures, they feel like a reward for the fire I’ve walked through, and the very special way that’s been captured.
